Is Lara Spencer an Angel?

Never have we had such a loyal black halo fan than Lara Spencer, host of 'The Insider.' She wears black halo pretty much on a weekly basis. Today I saw here on air in the geranium colored Jackie'O. I mean really, can her stomach be ANY flatter? It makes me wonder what is 'in-side-her?' (sorry, I had to)
God must be watching over her, because if you look closely there is a halo above her head? This makes me ask the question, can black halo make you look ungodly skinny and saint like? I think YES. BTW co-host Kris Jenner is also a huge fan of black halo, notice she does not have a halo like Lara!

Joey Showroom Launches DIWON

It is always fun to work with new brands. Especially when I can wear all of their clothes! So announcement #3 for the new year is: DIWON! A men's line out of L.A., the look is runway for today's budget. The collection has a full range of suits, woven shirts, knits, leathers and even shoes. Retails are amazing and the detailing like hand sewn suiting and glove leather jackets is terrific. Since they have not seen much of me this season in GUCCI and Balenciaga, it is comforting knowing that I have DIWON fall '09 to fill my closet.

Got cha with that tag! But seriously, people stop me on the street everyday asking me what I'm wearing, and where can they get my look (ok not that serious still). But I can't be everywhere at all times, so sometimes you will have to turn to reliable references like GENLUX for advise of where to buy what is hot. For instance, this month, MATT & NAT's JOBS vegan brief is on the A list of what to buy. I could not agree more! Not to brag, but this is the bag that I personally carry and it is the BEST. The vegan leather is rich in color, and super durable. Also I love to point out to admirers that MATT & NAT uses environmentally conscious materials like recycled water bottles to make the suede like lining. These days Eva Longoria-Parker ( I would never hyphenate my name) is looking doughty on Desperate Housewives. But off screen she still is the sexy firecracker that is always a fashion-do! In the Jan 5th STAR, she was the center of attention in Anne Leman's beautiful amethyst colored Najwa dress. Proof that even the hyphenated can still stop traffic.

I know you saw it,read it, & lusted after it, but I knew long before you got your grimy little hands on it. . . black halo on the February COVER of LUCKY!

And 'MAMA MIA' does Amanda Syfried look stunning in the red three teared blouse. You are going to have to look hard to find this frock cause it SOLD OUT. Ahhhhh, the trials of being cover-worthy. BTW you might remember that Amanda was in one of my all time favorite movies, 'Mean Girls' long before becoming a cover model. Does that surprise you? Mean girls always end up on top!

Gaga over black halo

I know that the title of this post is cheesy, but I could not resist, since Lady Gaga was spotted around town in Hollywood wearing black halo. So here are my thoughts on this picture. 1. I LOVE Lady Gaga. Her music is fierce and she is a modern day Deborah Harry. 2. Jump suits are HUGE. black halo's jumpsuit is on fire with a great fit and sexy bustier detail. 3. I am not endorsing the "Pebbles" hair do that she is sporting, I have a call out to her hair stylist.

Ok Kids, and you know who you are, waiting for my next post like anxious brats on Christmas Day....well here you go, the first official post of 2009! I know, it is 11 days in, but it was one HELL of a hangover. Now that that our heads are clear I will get you back on track. So lots happening at Joey Showroom: New Designers, new employees, and most exciting, new space. Our 6000 sq ft office in NYC is near completion, and let me tell you, it is looking FIERCE. The showroom is in the Tunnel Building (ie Tunnel Night Club) in West Chelsea Arts district. It has amazing architectual elements like exposed brick and huge beamed ceilings. There is a private elevator that opens into our showroom, which occupies the entire floor. The collections are showcased in individualized areas with original hardwood floors and vintage racks and furniture. There is even a full bar/kitchen for buyers to have a drink while shopping (We know who to have a bottle of wine chilled for before their appointments!) While the official launch will be in February during fashion week and market, here is a sneak peak of our new NYC home.We can not wait to see all of our buyers real soon, and we welcome our new designers to our showroom.
