Since Australian designer Camilla Franks emerged with her first collection nearly nine years ago, her scintillating designs have garnered international attention. Camilla Franks utilizes incredibly dazzling animal and organic prints in truly unique colourways. Her designs are like no other on the scene right now and we at JoeyShowroom are very happy to showcase her collection! 3 weeks ago Oprah was spotted donning the Short Angel Cape during her Australian tour. The style is now backordered, and a wave of coverage has ensued. We can't attribute all of this to "The Oprah Effect," however. The collection is just so beautiful! TAKE 2: OPRAH in Camilla

Good Morning lovelies,

It seems as though NO ONE can stop talking about Oprah donning a beautiful Camilla kaftan [The Short Babylon in Banshee Print] since she was spotted in it last week during her Celebratory Australian Tour. Seriously! We posted the picture of Oprah in the brilliant dress as soon as we got word around last Thursday, but since then Oprah and Camilla both have garnered international attention for the look. Check out this article in Australian newspaper The Herald Sun:

"The US talk show queen bought one of Franks' trademark kaftans to wear to a harbourside party last week and then donned a Dinnigan blouse and skirt creation for the taping of her Sydney shows on Tuesday.

Images of both outfits subsequently beamed around the world, with both Australian designers' international agents ordering more stock to meet an increase in demand.

For any fashion designer, there could be no better advertising. 'Sales sky-rocketed immediately as soon as Oprah was seen wearing it,' Dinnigan said.

'Within 24 hours, I had over 1000 emails and text messages. It's been phenomenal. It's things like this that bring tears to your eyes. It makes you feel like you are on the right path.'

Winfrey bought the $699 Babylon Banshee print kaftan, which was not originally a best-seller despite being the main piece of Camilla's summer 2010 collection.

Dinnigan's blouse retails at $450 and is available in several colours, while the skirt was created just for the chat-show queen. A limited number will now be produced with a price tag of $950.

Dinnigan is already stocked in the US. 'Everyone keeps ringing from all around the world,' Dinnigan said.

The fashion coup has given her the confidence to consider showing at New York Fashion Week next year a month after the shows go to air in the US."
